Las Vegas — Former Youngstown State bowlers Ellie Drescher and Kirsten Moore both posted top-30 finishes at the 2026 USBC Team USA Trials, which concluded on Wednesday at the Gold Coast Bowling Center in Las Vegas.

Moore, a Team USA member in 2025 and a Junior Team USA selection in 2023, placed 20th overall, while Drescher finished 26th in the field of 132 bowlers.

Moore was steady across all five rounds, placing between 17th and 42nd each day. Her highest finish of the week was the final day when she had the 17th-best score. Her highest five-game set was on Tuesday when she posted a 1,300 that included a 278 in game five. Moore also fired a 269 game in the opening round.

Drescher ranked in the top 30 in three different rounds, highlighted by a fifth-place score of 1,341 on Monday. During that set, she shot 195 or better in all six games and topped 230 three times in the set. She fired a 1,269 set in the second round and closed the trials with the 22nd-highest total on Wednesday.
