Former Youngstown State bowler Jade Cote earned a gold medal in the team event at the 2025 PANAM Bowling Youth Championship while competing with Team Canada last week. The international tournament was held at Metrobowl Zone 15 in Guatemala City, Guatemala.
In the U21 Division, Cote bowled alongside Mei Yen-Lachapelle, Alex-Anne Auclair and Samantha Cirillo to win the team event by 118 pins, 4,796-4678, over the United States. It was the former Penguin's first gold medal in three trips to the PANAM Championship.
In addition to her success in the team event, Cote posted seventh-place finishes in singles, doubles and trios. She was the top Canadian bowler overall at the event while placing 10th in overall scoring.
