Crestview Hills, Ky. – The Youngstown State women's tennis team picked up their second win of the weekend beating Northern Kentucky, 6-1, on Sunday at the Five Seasons Sports Club.

The Penguins improve to 11-7 overall and 4-1 in Horizon League play. NKU falls to 5-9 and 1-3.

The Guins earned the doubles point with wins at No. 2 and No. 3. At No. 2 doubles, Lili Minich and Line Greyling earned a 6-3 win while Lorena Cedeno and Lydia Foster also won by a 6-3 score.

In singles, YSU won in straight sets at No. 2-6. The Norse picked up their point with a win at No. 1 singles.

At No. 2 singles, Minich won 6-2, 6-2. At No. 3, Yeseniia Ovcharova picked up a 6-3, 6-4 victory. Lorena Cedeno cruised to a 6-2, 6-2 win at No. 4. At No. 5 and No. 6, Ghada Dirninger and Yoana Dudova each won by scores of 6-1, 6-1.

YSU closes out the regular season with home contest against Oakland on Friday. First serve at the YSU Indoor Tennis Center is set for 11 a.m. as the Guins will celebrate Senior Day.
