Freshman Jordan Kish of the Youngstown State men's golf team has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Golfer of the Week, the league office announced on Thursday.
Kish earned a career-best third-place finish to lead Youngstown State to a fourth-place team finish at the Jackrabbit Invitational, which concluded on Saturday from Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nev. The Massillon, Ohio, native fired a career-best three-round score of 215 (70-74-71) to earn his second top 10 finish of the season.
Kish's career-low, two-under-par 70 in the opening round on Friday featured 10 pars and five birdies as he fired a one-under-par 35 on both on the front and back nine. Kish's second-round 74 included 11 pars, three birdies and an eagle on the par-five No. 13. He also recorded 10 pars and five birdies during the final round on Saturday.
Youngstown State will continue the spring portion of its 2024-25 season on March 31-April 1 with the Don Benbow Butler Spring Invitational at Highland Golf & Country Club in Indianapolis, Ind.
