Youngstown State's bowling team is ranked among the top five teams in the country for the third straight release of the 2024-25 National Tenpin Coaches Association Top 25 poll. The NTCA announced the results of its February poll on Thursday.

The top five teams in the poll have remained the same from the preseason announcement to the most recent release. Nebraska received 38 out of a possible 54 first-place votes in February to move from third to first in the rankings, and the Huskers are followed by four teams from Conference USA.

Vanderbilt, the top team in December, received 14 first-place votes and ranks second in the current poll. Jacksonville State received the other two first-place votes and is third, followed by Arkansas State and Youngstown State. The Penguins received 1,890 total points in the poll as they switched spots with Arkansas State from December.

Three additional Conference USA teams rank among the top 10 as Wichita State, Sam Houston and Stephen F. Austin are seventh through ninth. North Carolina A&T is sixth, a four-spot improvement from December, and Maryville is 10th. Louisiana Tech is 11th, Tulane is 20th, and Valparaiso ranks 25th to give all 10 Conference USA teams a spot in the top 25. No other conference has more than four teams in the poll.

Youngstown State will compete in two tournaments in February, starting with the Flyer Classic this weekend in Lockport, Ill.
