Youngstown, Ohio — Abbie Householder has been named to the Academic All-District Team, selected by College Sports Communicators, for the third straight season. The organization announced its teams on Tuesday.

Householder was also selected as a CSC Academic All-America finalist due to her credentials in the classroom and on the court. CSC members will vote on the national ballot, and first-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 13, 2026.

Householder was the 2025 Horizon League Volleyball Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year as the conference's leader with 4.22 kills and 4.73 points per set. She posted 502 kills, the third most in school history and the second most in the rally scoring era, and her 562.5 points were also the third-highest total ever by a Penguin. She went on to be named Honorable Mention All-Region by the AVCA. The Canfield, Ohio, native finished her career as YSU's all-time leader in kills with 1,427 and attempts with 4,241 attempts, and she ranked third in digs, fourth in points and sixth in aces.

Academically, Householder was voted to the 2025 Valeo Horizon League Volleyball All-Academic Team earlier in the fall semester. She is a two-time member of the conference's All-Academic Team, and she is a four-time selection to the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
