Career Records: Finished her career with a school record 1,427 kills, surpassing Vickie Robinson's mark of 1,408 that was set from 1996-99 during the sideout scoring era… Finished with 97 more kills than any other Penguin who played during rally scoring, and she had 280 more than any other Penguin who played exclusively during the 25-point era… Also set the program record with 4,241 career attempts… Her 3.21 kills-per-set average was fourth all-time… Finished with 130 aces, ranking sixth in program history and posting the second-highest total of any Penguin who played after 1990… Finished third in program history with 1,292 digs… Was one of six players in school history to finish with at least 1,000 career kills and 1,000 career digs, and she joined Lexi Egler as the only two to do it during the rally scoring era… Ranked fourth in program history in career points with 1,645.0, the second most in the rally scoring era... Finished with 320 more points than any other outside hitter has had in rally scoring… Played in 445 career sets, which tied for third in program history.
2025 (Senior): Concluded one of the best careers in program history by being named an Honorable Mention All-American by the AVCA, the Horizon League Player of the Year and the 2025-26 YSU Female Student-Athlete of the Year… Became the first volleyball player since Jessica Fraley in 2008 to earn the institution’s top award… Was YSU’s second All-American (Paula Gursching in 2022) and its third All-Region honoree (Gursching in 2022 and Ruth Boscaljoin in 2009)… Was the second Penguin to be named the Horizon League Player of the Year and Offensive Player of the Year (Gursching, 2022)… Also named to the All-Horizon League First Team, marking the third time in her four seasons she was named all-league… Academically, became YSU’s second-ever Horizon League Female Scholar-Athlete of the Season for the Fall… Voted to the Horizon League All-Academic Team for the second straight season, and selected to the Academic All-District Team by College Sports Communicators for the third straight campaign… Became the program's first student-athlete to be named the National Player of the Week by the AVCA on Nov. 18 when she averaged 7.17 kills and 7.92 points per set in the final two regular-season matches of her career… Scored 562.5 points, the third-most in school history and the second-highest in the current format, to lead the conference by 113 points… Averaged 4.73 points per set, the fifth-best average in program history regardless of format and the second best in 25-point rally scoring… Posted a league-best 502 kills, the third most in school history and the second most in the rally scoring era… Her 4.22 kills-per-set average was the third-best average in school history and the second-best in rally scoring… Nationally, she ranked 20th in total kills, 23rd in total points, 26th in total attacks, 42nd in kills per set and 44th in points per set… In addition to her 502 kills, she scored points with 35 aces, six solo blocks and 39 block assists… Hit .276 as a six-rotation left side hitter, and she added a team-high 357 digs… Averaged 3.00 digs and 0.29 aces per set… Named the Horizon League Player of the Week on Oct. 27 and Nov. 17… Recorded her 1,000th career kill, 1,000th career dig and 100th career ace in the same match against Siena on Sept. 6… Reached double digits in kills in 29 of her 31 matches, and she had at least 10 digs 23 times… Recorded 23 double-doubles… Had a career-high 31 kills in a five-set win over Northern Kentucky, which tied for the fourth-best total in the current scoring format (Oct. 4)… Posted 23 kills in a Senior Day victory over Purdue Fort Wayne, the most ever by a Penguin in a three-set rally scoring match (Nov. 14)... Her 25 points against the Mastodons were the most by a Penguin in a three-set match in the 25-point rally scoring era… Broke YSU’s career kills record with a 29-kill performance in a Horizon League Volleyball Championship quarterfinal win over Green Bay… That was 11 more kills than any other Penguin has recorded in the Horizon League Tournament… Had a season-high four aces in a sweep of Milwaukee (Oct. 25)… Recorded three total blocks five times… Registered a season-best 21 digs against Kent State (Sept. 19)… Added 22 kills against the Golden Flashes to record her second career 20-20 match… Became just the sixth Penguin to have at least 20 kills and 20 digs in more than two matches.
2024 (Junior): Voted to the All-Horizon League Second Team and the Horizon League All-Academic Team… Was named to the Academic All-District® Volleyball Team for the second straight season… Also earned YSU's Female PNC Achievers Award for Fall 2024… Was one of the top players in the Horizon League as she ranked second in the conference in both kills and points per set… Played in every set and started all 30 matches at outside hitter… Posted totals of 440 kills, 353 digs, 35 aces and 49 blocks for averages of 4.00 kills, 3.21 digs, 0.32 aces and 0.45 blocks… Had 501.0 points for an average of 4.55 per set… Improved her numbers against conference opponents to 4.18 kills and 4.64 points per set… Led the league with 315.5 points in conference play… Was the only player in the Horizon League to rank in the top 12 in both kills and digs per set, and she was one of two players in the league to average at least 3.0 kills and 3.0 digs in conference play… Was just the second Penguin in the last 25 years to average at least 3.0 in both categories… Posted 17 double-doubles during the season, including 13 against Horizon League opponents, and she reached double digits in kills in 16 of YSU’s 18 conference matches… Her 440 kills were the fourth-most in program history and the second-most since the 25-point rally-scoring era began in 2008… Was the fourth Penguin to average at least 4.0 kills per set regardless of scoring format… Was the fifth YSU player to eclipse 500 total points in a season, regardless of format, and the second in the 25-point era… Her 4.55 points per set was the seventh-highest mark in school history… Had plenty of highlight performances throughout her junior season…. Her season-high for kills was 26 in a five-setter at Robert Morris, which was the second-highest total in a conference match this season… Became just the fourth Penguin to have at least 25 kills in a match since 2008… Posted 22 kills and 26 digs in a five-set win over LIU to become the third Penguin since 2007 to have a 20-20 match… Reached double digits in kills 25 times, and she reached the 20-kill plateau seven times… Had at least 10 digs in 20 matches, and she had at least 20 three times… Named to all-tournament teams at UConn and Eastern Kentucky.
2023 (Sophomore): Named to the 2023 Academic All-District® Volleyball Team, selected by College Sports Communicators… Was one of two players to both start all 29 matches and play in all 114 sets… Led the team with 291 kills while ranking second on the squad with 305 digs… Tied for the team lead with 36 aces, and she added 38 blocks… Averaged 2.55 kills per set and 2.68 digs… Ranked in the top 20 in the Horizon League in four categories - 12th in aces per set (0.32), 16th in points per set (3.07), 17th in digs per set (2.68) and 18th in kills per set (2.55)… Averaged 2.86 kills, 2.96 digs and 0.34 aces per set against conference opponents… Reached double digits in kills 17 times, including 11 straight matches from Sept. 14 through Oct. 13… Became just the second Penguin since 2007 to have double digits in kills in more than 10 straight matches… Reached 17 kills four times, including the final two matches during that 11-match streak… Her season high in digs was 24 in a four-set contest against Cleveland State (10/20)… Also had a season-best four aces against the Vikings that night, which tied for the highest individual total by a Penguin during the season… Recorded 20 digs in the season 0pener against Canisius (8/25) and 21 versus Northern Kentucky (9/19)… Registered three blocks twice.
2022 (Freshman): Voted to the Horizon League All-Freshman Team… Earned the program’s Newcomer of the Year award… Played in 102 sets over 28 matches, including 65 sets against Horizon League opponents… Recorded 194 kills, 24 aces, 277 digs, 26 blocks and 231.5 points for averages of 1.9 kills, 0.24 aces, 2.72 digs, 0.25 blocks and 2.27 points per set… Averaged 1.8 kills, 0.25 aces, 2.66 digs, 0.23 blocks and 2.17 points per set in conference play… Ranked third on the team in kills and digs… Registered career highs of 13 kills twice - at Canisius (9/9) and at IUPUI (10/29)… Reached double digits in kills nine times… Recorded 29 digs against Cleveland State, which tied for the 10th-most in program history in the rally-scoring era, on Sept. 20… Had four double-doubles in kills and digs… Was the 2022-23 recipient of the Sokolov Family Scholarship endowment and the Zwick Family Difference Maker Scholarship endowment.
High School: Served as a captain while earning three letters for the Canfield Cardinals… Named the Northeast District Player of the Year and the All-American Conference Player of the Year as a senior… Was District Co-Player of the Year as a junior… Also an Honorable Mention All-Ohio selection in 2021, she ranked fifth in the state with 500 kills… Surpassed 1,000 career kills.
Personal: Parents are two former Penguin student-athletes, football player Brian Householder and volleyball player Maria Schuster… Has a sister (Alyssa) and a brother (Austin) who have also attended YSU… Major is Business Administration… Was the 2023-24 recipient of the Jon and Jennifer Arnold Scholarship and the Curbstone Coaches Athletic Scholarship… Is a 2025-26 recipient of the Penguin Club - Joseph F. Malmisur Athletic Scholarship, the Zwick Family Difference Maker Scholarship and the Hammond Family - Valley Industrial Trucks Scholarship.
