Western Pennsylvania golf standout Jack Sacriponte has signed to join the Youngstown State men's golf program in the fall of 2026, YSU head coach Tony Joy announced on Thursday.
"We are really fortunate to add Jack to our roster and program for next fall," said Joy. "He is a talented and accomplished golfer who has had a very successful high school and junior golf career in greater Western Pennsylvania. Jack has competed at a high level, and we expect him to be a major part of our team in the future."
Sacriponte, a native of Greensburg, Pa., concluded his senior season at Greater Latrobe Senior High School with a second-place finish at the PIAA 3A State Championship. He fired rounds of 71 and 66 at the PIAA 3A State Championship, finishing one stroke out of first place at the Penn State Blue Course with a two-round score of 137 (-7).
Sacriponte claimed a second-place finish at the WPIAL 3A Championship as a senior in 2025 with a two-round total of 140 (70-70). He also helped lead the Greater Latrobe golf team to an undefeated regular season. Sacriponte placed first in the Pittsburgh Open at Glenngary Golf Course with a two-round 148 (76-72) as a junior in 2024.
Sacriponte was selected for USNDP Team Pennsylvania, an elite junior golf team for the state, created as part of the USGA's U.S. National Development Program. He has qualified for the West Penn Open Championship and West Penn Amateur while being a semifinalist at the C.R. Miller Match Play Invitational. Sacriponte also finished in a tie for second place at the 105th WPGA Junior Championship in 2025.
