Richmond, Ky. – The Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped its second straight match after falling to Eastern Kentucky, 1-0, on Sunday afternoon at the EKU Soccer Field.
The Penguins fall to 2-3-2 overall while the Colonels improve to 3-3-1.
Eastern Kentucky's Nerea de Diego scored the game's only goal in the 23rd minute.
The Penguins were out shot by the Colonels, 17-7, and junior Taylor Berry recorded both of YSU's shots on goal.
Goalkeeper Maya Naimoli posted five saves in the loss.
Youngstown State hosts Duquesne, Sunday, Sept. 15. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
