St. Bonaventure, N.Y. – The Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to St. Bonaventure on Thursday evening at the Marra Athletics Field Complex.
With the loss, the Penguins fall to 2-2-2 on the year while the Bonnies improve to 1-4-1.
St. Bonaventure's Thea Juul scored in the 16th minute to put the Bonnies up 1-0. Maya Marolly added another score in the 74th minute to seal the victory.
The Penguins took seven total shots, including four on goal, and were led by Lianna Van Sice with two attempts.
Goalkeeper Maya Naimoli faced a total of 13 shots and tallied six saves.
Youngstown State visits Eastern Kentucky, Sunday, Sept. 8. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. in Richmond, Ky.
