San Marcos, Texas – Former Youngstown State softball standout has signed a professional contract with the Texas Monarch of the Women's Professional Fastpitch league.

Fessler, who played for the Penguins from 2023-24, finished her career with a .338 batting average, 86 runs scored, 21 doubles, 14 home runs and 38 runs batted in. She also stole 24 bases and posted a career OPS of 1.024. Her .338 batting average ranked seventh on the career chart.

Last season, Fessler batted .305 with 45 runs scored, nine doubles, two triples, nine home runs and 21 runs batted in. She also slugged .565 with a .449 on-base percentage for a 1.094 OPS. Her 45 runs scored ranked third on the YSU single-season list.

Fessler was a 2023 All-Horizon League First-Team selection after batting .369 with 41 runs scored, 12 doubles, five home runs, 15 stolen bases, 17 runs batted in, a .541 slugging percentage and a .492 on-base percentage. She also batted .400 in Horizon League play with four doubles, three home runs, 10 stolen bases, a .586 slugging percentage, 30 walks and a .523 on-base percentage. Fessler led the team with 19 multi-hit games and ranked in the top five in 11 Horizon League statistical categories.
