Youngstown State will serve as the host institution of the 2024 Horizon League Softball Championship after its softball team secured the regular season title and No. 1 seed in the tournament. The double-elimination tournament will be May 8-11 at the YSU Softball Complex on campus.
The Penguins finished the regular season with a 36-15 overall record and a 20-4 mark against conference opponents to clinch the regular-season title for the second time in the last four years. YSU is the top seed in the tournament, and it and second-seeded Oakland will receive a first-round bye. The Golden Grizzlies finished with a 17-6 mark in conference play.
The tournament opens at noon on Wednesday with fourth-seeded Northern Kentucky taking on fifth-seeded Robert Morris, and No. 3 Cleveland State will take on No. 6 IUPUI on Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. YSU will get the winner of the NKU vs. RMU game on Thursday at noon.
Three games are scheduled for each of the first three days of the tournament, and the championship game is slated for noon on Saturday.
Every game of the tournament will be streamed live on ESPN+, and live stats will be available through links on the Horizon League's Tournament Central page on HorizonLeague.com.

Parking
Spectators will use the M70 & M72 lot. M70 lot is out beyond the field fence. M72 lot is along the 1st base side and is used by tennis and softball spectators. Cost will be $5/car.
