Elyssa Imler Named NFCA All-Midwest Region Third Team

Louisville, Ky. – Youngstown State senior Elyssa Imler has been named to the 2024 National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) All-Midwest Region Third Team, the association announced on Thursday.
Imler, the 2024 Horizon League Player of the Year and a first-team all-league selection, led the Penguins with an overall batting average of .340 with 36 runs scored, 10 doubles, a home run and 21 runs batted in. She also stole 14 bases.
In league play, Imler batted .444 with 16 runs scored, five doubles, a home run, 15 RBIs, and six stolen bases. She also slugged at a .556 clip with an on-base percentage of .468 for an OPS of 1.024.
Imler is the first Youngstown State player to earn NFCA All-Region honors since Nikki Saibene and Elle Buffenbarger in 2021.
She is also the eighth YSU all-region selection since 2012 and the seventh Youngstown State player to earn NFCA honors under Head Coach Brian Campbell. Overall, Imler is the 12th NFCA All-Region pick for the Penguins since 2003.
