YSU Softball Program to Host Second Annual Hit-A-Thon on Sept. 4

The Youngstown State softball program will hold its second annual Hit-A-Thon fundraiser on Friday, Sept. 4, at the YSU Softball Field inside the Covelli Sports Complex.
The event will begin at 3 p.m., and supporters may either pledge an amount per foot for a specific player or participating athletic department staff member or make a flat donation to the Youngstown State Softball program. Pledge options are available for 25 cents, 50 cents, 75 cents and $1 per foot with a maximum distance of 250 feet. For example, if a player hits 200 feet and someone pledges 50 cents per foot, they pay $100.
There will be hot dogs, music, t-shirts and more for fans, alumni and supporters attending the event. Kids ages 12 and under may pay $10 for five swings.
