Youngstown, Ohio — Youngstown State's softball program is offering a Winter Prospect Camp on Dec. 19 for players looking for instruction from college coaches and an opportunity to showcase their talents.
The Winter Prospect Camp will be held at YSU's Watson and Tressel Training Site, with coaches from the NCAA Division I, Division II and Division III levels providing instruction. Players will learn the fundamentals of hitting, fielding, base running, catching and pitching during teaching sessions and have the opportunity to compete in two sessions of Winter Prospect Games.
The camp is open to players in grades 8-12, and all camps are open to any and all entrants on a first-come, first-served basis.

Prospect Camp Sessions
All camps will be held on Saturday, Dec. 19, at the Watson and Tressel Training Site on YSU's campus. The indoor facility is located at 651 Elm St., Youngstown, OH 44502.
Pitching Session
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Cost: $80 ($75 + $5 Fees)
* You need to bring your own catcher
* Catchers must also register
Infield Session
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Cost: $80 ($75 + $5 Fees)
Outfield Session
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.
Cost: $80 ($75 + $5 Fees)
Catching Session
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Cost: $80 ($75 + $5 Fees)
Offensive Sessions
Times: 8:30 a.m. - 9:45 a.m.;10 a.m. - 11:15 a.m.; 11:30 a.m. - 12:45 p.m.
Cost: $80 ($75 + $5 Fees)
Winter Prospect Camp Games
Only individuals who sign up for the position portion of the camp are eligible to sign up for the game portion. Rosters will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis based on field position.
Session 1: 1:30 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Session 2: 2:45 p.m. - 3:45 p.m.
The cost for each session is $75. Players are encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot, as positions are limited. The Winter Prospect Games are open to any and all entrants, limited only by gender, number, age, and/or grade level.
