Indianapolis, Ind. -- For the second time this season, Youngstown State freshman Gabe Dynes has been named the Under Armour Horizon League Men's Basketball Freshman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Dynes helped the Penguins to a pair of road wins in Wisconsin last weekend as the Penguins defeated Milwaukee in overtime, 84-80, and Green Bay, 71-59.
He posted a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds with four blocks against the Panthers. He also had five rebounds and three blocks against the Phoenix.
He leads the league in total blocks with 57 and 2.3 blocks per game. Dynes also ranks 17th nationally in blocks per game and 25th in total blocks.
Dynes also earned the award on Dec. 11, 2023.
Youngstown State hosts Detroit Mercy in its regular-season finale, Wednesday, Feb. 28. Tipoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at Beeghly Center.
