Horizon League Releases 2026-27 Men’s Basketball Schedule

Indianapolis, Ind. – The Horizon League announced its 12-team, 240-game men's basketball conference schedule on Thursday afternoon, and each of the league's 12 members will play a 20-game slate that runs from early December through late February.
The Penguins will play home-and-home contests against nine of the Horizon League schools, including Cleveland State, Detroit Mercy, Green Bay, IU Indy, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois, Purdue Fort Wayne, and Robert Morris. Youngstown State will play at Northern Kentucky and host Wright State as one-time opponents.
Youngstown State opens league action on the road at Cleveland State (Dec. 2) and at Robert Morris (Dec. 5).
The Penguins welcome league newcomer Northern Illinois to Zidian Family Arena (Dec. 30) before trekking to Indianapolis to face IU Indy (Jan. 3), marking three of their first four league games away from Beeghly Center.
The Penguins return home to host Oakland (Jan. 6) and Detroit Mercy (Jan. 9) before taking a five-day excursion to Wisconsin to visit Green Bay (Jan. 14) and Milwaukee (Jan. 17).
Youngstown State hosts IU Indy (Jan. 20) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Jan. 23) then heads to the Motor City to tackle Detroit Mercy (Jan. 27) and Oakland (Jan. 30).
The Penguins begin the final month of the regular season visiting Northern Kentucky (Feb. 4) before hosting Robert Morris (Feb. 7) and visiting Northern Illinois (Feb. 10).
Youngtown State plays four of its last five games at the friendly confines of Zidian Family Arena at Beeghly Center.
The Penguins welcome Cleveland State (Feb. 13) and Wright State (Feb. 17) before visiting Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 21).
Youngtown State closes out the regular season hosting Green Bay (Feb. 24) and Milwaukee (Feb. 27).
The rest of the Penguins 2026-27 season will be announced at a later date.
