Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a tough 1-0 decision to IUPUI on Sunday afternoon at Farmers National Bank Field.
The Penguins fall to 5-5-1 overall and 1-3 in the Horizon League while the Jaguars improve to 8-2-2 overall and 2-0-2 in league play.
Youngstown State outshot the Jaguars, 12-11, including 10-5 in the second half. Leading the Penguins was Chloe Weiland with three total shots while Regan LaVigna posted a team-high two shots on goal.
IUPUI scored the game's only goal on a penalty kick by Sam Slimek in the 61st minute.
Youngstown State visits Purdue Fort Wayne, Saturday, Sept. 30. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m.
