- Youngstown State earned its second straight Horizon League series sweep with three wins at Purdue Fort Wayne this past weekend. The Penguins took the series opener 9-4 on Friday before earning a series-clinching 12-3 triumph on Saturday. YSU completed the sweep with a 14-10 victory in the series finale on Sunday.
- YSU was swept by Northern Kentucky in a three-game Horizon League series at Eastwood Field on April 6-8. The Norse took the series opener 13-5 before winning the series with an 11-0 victory in game two. NKU won the series finale by a final score of 11-5.
