The Youngstown State baseball team's home and Horizon League opener against Oakland on Thursday at Eastwood Field has been pushed back to 5 p.m.

The contest, which was originally scheduled to begin at 4 p.m., will now take place one hour later. The 2023 home opener will feature a YSU schedule magnet giveaway courtesy of Mercy Health.

The Penguins and Golden Grizzlies are currently scheduled to continue their three-game Horizon League series on Friday at 3 p.m. Friday's game will feature $2 Hot Dog Wally hot dogs and $1 pop at the concession stand. Saturday's series finale is slated for 1 p.m. and will feature a YSU team poster giveaway and $4 16-ounce beer at the concession stand.
