A group of 10 student-athletes have decided to continue their academic and baseball futures at Youngstown State University, YSU head coach Trevor Charpie announced on Tuesday.
The group of signees includes David Campos Lopez (Hermosillo, Mexico), Bo Davis (Alliance, Ohio), Evan Fuller (North Canton, Ohio), Charlie McIntyre (Whitefish Bay, Wis.), Braylon Nelson (Daphne, Ala.), Jaxen Racht (Niles, Mich.), Kyan Sims (Buckeye, Ariz.), Braydon Songer (Hubbard, Ohio), Bowman Stein (Little Rock, Ark.) and Brayden Trogdon (Yukon, Okla.).
Charpie on Signees: "We're incredibly excited to officially welcome this outstanding group of student-athletes to the Youngstown State baseball program. Each of these young men embodies the qualities we look for – hard work, character, competitiveness, and a genuine love for the game. Our staff has spent a great deal of time recruiting individuals who not only bring exceptional talent but also share our values and vision for what we are building here. This group represents a strong mix of skill sets that will help elevate our team in all areas. They come from winning programs, strong families and environments that have prepared them to succeed both on and off the field. David Campos Lopez

Highlights: Earned first-team all-conference honors and was named the Metro Region Catcher of the Year in 2024… Earned various All-Region honors while playing in Mexico and his home state of Sonora… Participated in the Prep Baseball Report 2026 Top Prospect Games… Participated in the Prep Baseball Report Senior Future Games… Played travel ball for Vaqueros Arizona.
Personal: Parents are David Campos Urias and Karla Clarivel Lopez Cordova… Has a brother (Erick Santiago Campos Lopez) and a sister (Daniela Campos Casillas)… Intends to major in business administration.
Bo Davis
C | 6'0 | 180 | | R/R | Alliance, Ohio | Alliance High School
Highlights: Two-time first-team all-conference selection and three-time all-district pick at Alliance High School… Two-time recipient of the Tim Saunders Award as the top statistical offensive player… Earned First-Team All-Eastern Buckeye Conference, First-Team All-District and Second-Team All-Stark County honors as a junior in 2025… Voted as a first-time all-conference honoree as a sophomore while also earning second-team honors at the district and county levels… Collected Second-Team All-District and Second-Team All-Stark County recognition as a freshman… Played travel ball with Release… Also a member of the football team.

Evan Fuller
RHP | 6'5 | 185 | R/R | North Canton, Ohio | Hoover High School
Highlights: Three-year varsity letterwinner and two-time District champion at Hoover High School… Tied the school's single-game record with 17 strikeouts in a win over McKinely as a junior in 2025… Allowed one hit and no earned runs over seven innings in that outing… Named the Stark County High School Athlete of the Week… Helped the Vikings claim the Federal League championship… Registered 46 strikeouts in 35.1 innings pitched in 2025.

Charlie McIntyre

Highlights: Two-time all-state, three-time all-district and three-time first-team all-conference selection at Whitefish Bay High School… Led his team in batting average while helping lead the Blue Dukes to the Wisconsin Division I state championship as a freshman in 2023… Batted .417 and slugged .500 with seven doubles, 27 RBIs and 27 runs scored over 29 games played during his freshman season… Played travel ball for Hitters Baseball.

Braylon Nelson

Highlights: Three-year team captain and two-time hitter of the year at Lighthouse Christian Academy in Pensacola, Fla…. Helped lead the Stingrays to a Florida 3A state championship… Three-time Perfect Game Preseason All-American (2023-25)… Two-time participant in the Perfect Game Junior National Showcase… Participated in the Perfect Game 14U Select Festival and the Perfect Game 14U National Showcase… Named the Lighthouse Christian Academy Hitter of the Year in 2024 and 2025… Honored as an MBP All-American each of the last three years (2023-25)… Participated in the Hank Aaron Invitational each of the last four years (2022-25)… As a pitcher, posted an ERA below 3.00 for the full 2025 calendar year.

Jaxen Racht

Highlights: Two-time first-team all-conference selection at Niles Senior High School… Ranked as the No. 8 overall player in the state of Michigan by Prep Baseball Report… Registered 228 strikeouts over the last three seasons… Helped lead the Vikings to Division 2 District championship as a junior in 2025… Struck out 14 batters in a 2-1 victory over Lakeshore in the district title game… Named First-Team All-Wolverine Conference in 2024 and 2025… Earned All-Region and Academic All-Region honors in 2025… Three-time participant in the Prep Baseball Report Future Games…Played travel ball for the Indiana Bulls.

Kyan Sims

Braydon Songer

Bowman Stein

Highlights: Ranked as the No. 15 overall player and the No. 4 outfielder in the state of Arkansas by Perfect Game… As a junior in 2025, hit six doubles and four home runs with 21 RBIs, 21 runs scored and nine stolen bases… Helped Joe T. Robinson High School reach the Arkansas 4A state semifinals… Earned Perfect Game Preseason Underclass All-American Honorable Mention honors in 2024 and 2025… Attended the Perfect Game Junior National Showcase in 2024… During the summer of 2024, represented Arkansas at the Prep Baseball Report Futures Games where he recorded the second highest exit velocity (106.4 mph) and average bat speed (83.5 mph) at the event.

Brayden Trogdon

Highlights: On track to become a three-year varsity starter at Yukon High School… As a junior in 2025, allowed 31 hits and 19 earned runs while posting 55 strikeouts and a 2.90 ERA over 45.2 innings pitched… Participated in the Oklahoma State Games All-Star event as well as the High Plains Shootout All-Star event… Participated in the Prep Baseball Report Senior Future Games… In the classroom, maintains a 3.9+ GPA and is a member of National Honor Society… Played travel ball for Risin Richardson.
