Youngstown State closes out the home portion of the regular season and celebrates Senior Day when it hosts Green Bay, Saturday, Feb. 18. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at Beeghly Center and the game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN and ESPN+.

Last Time Out
The Penguins are coming off an impressive 87-58 win over Milwaukee on Feb. 16 to take sole possession of first place in the Horizon League standings. Adrian Nelson led the Penguins with 19 points. Senior Dwayne Cohill scored 18 points while Bryce McBride had 16 points and Malek Green posted a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Scouting Green Bay
Green Bay enters the game with an overall record of 3-25 and a 2-15 mark in Horizon League play. Leading the Phoenix is Cade Meyer with 10.9 points per game and Clarence Cummings III with 10.5 points per contest. The Phoenix are scoring 58.9 points per game and allowing 75.8 points per contest.
The Green Bay Series
This is the 54th meeting between Youngstown State and Green Bay in a series that dates back to 1993. Green Bay leads the all-time series, 36-17, but the Penguins have won the last three and six of the last eight contests. The Penguins defeated the Phoenix, 86-70, on Jan. 19. YSU also won the last meeting in Beeghly Center, 63-50. Since 2018, Youngstown State has won seven of the last 11 contest.
Last Time vs. Green Bay
Four players scored in double figures  to lead Youngstown State team to its fifth straight victory with an 86-70 win over Green Bay on Jan. 19 at the Resch Center. Senior Dwayne Cohill scored a game-high 26 points while graduate Malek Green posted 17 points with eight rebounds. Graduate Adrian Nelson recorded his eighth double-double with 15 points and 11 rebounds, and Brandon Rush added 10 points. Brock Heffner led the Phoenix with 24 points

Beeghly Center 50th Anniversary
The 2022-23 season is the 50th anniversary of the Beeghly Center serving as the home venue of the Youngstown State men's basketball program. Since 1972-73, the Penguins have won 424 games in the Beeghly Center. Recently, the Penguins have been tough to beat on their home floor. Since the beginning of the 2019-20 season, the Penguins have won 48 game at the Beeghly Center.
Guins Love February
Since 2019, Youngstown State has enjoyed a lot of success in the month of February. The Penguins own a 27-10 for a winning percentage of .730 since Feb. 1, 2019.Â
Guins set D-I Wins Mark
With the 87-58 win over Milwaukee on Feb. 16, Youngstown State set school Division I wins record at 21 and needs three more to tie the program's all-time wins mark at 24. The last time Youngstown State won 20 games in season was in 1997-98, and the last time YSU had at least 21 wins was in 1976-77 with 22.
Double 1K Club
Graduate student Adrian Nelson is now ina very special club. With 19 points and nine rebounds against Milwaukee, Nelson surpassed the 1,000-point and 1,000-rebound plateaus for his college career. He now has 1,001 career points and 1,005 career rebounds.
200 3's
Youngstown State has made 232 3-pointers this season to reach 200 3s made for the 12th consecutive full season. The Penguins also made 186 in the COVID-shortened 2020-21 season. The streak started in 2010-11 when the Penguins made 235 3-pointers.Â
Best Horizon League Start
Youngstown State is off to its best start in Horizon League play with its 13-4 league mark. Â The Penguins set the school record for conference wins with 13. The previous record was 12 set in 2021-22.Â
Cohill 42nd to Reach 1K
Senior Dwayne Cohill eclipsed an historic career-scoring milestone against IUPUI on Jan. 7. Cohill scored 13 points to surpass the 1,000-point scoring plateau and now has 1,205 career points. He is also the 42nd player in YSU history to reach 1,000 points as a Penguin after scoing 18 points against Milwaukee on Feb. 16 and has 1,014 points at YSU. Cohill is playing extremely well against Horizon League opponents this season. He is averaging 19.6 points and 5.0 assists per game while shooting 50.2 percent from the field, 44.1 percent from 3-point range and 89.7 percent from the free-throw line.Â
Glass Cleaners
Graduate student Malek Green and Adrian Nelson have been a formidable presence on the glass for the Penguins this season. Nelson leads the league and ranks 16th in the nation with 9.8 rebounds per game while Green is seventh in the circuit at 7.1 rebounds per contest. Nelson ranks 10th nationally with 274 total rebounds and has 15 double-digit rebound games this season while Green has seven.
