Green Bay, Wis. -- Sophomore Chloe Weiland and graduate student Jordan Evans each scored a goal to lift the Youngstown State women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Green Bay on Saturday afternoon.
With the win, the Penguins improve to 7-6-3 overall and 3-4-2 in Horizon League play while the Phoenix fall to 0-10-5 overall and 0-6-3 in the league.
Weiland put the Penguins on the board with her third score of the season when she found the lower-right at the 25:31 of the match.
Just over four minutes later, Evans gave the Penguins a 2-0 lead with a goal at the 29:36 mark of the game off an assist from freshman Emma Berdiner.
Weiland led the Penguins with five total shots, including four shots on goal.
Senior Brooklynn Kirkpatrick posted her fourth clean sheet of the year and tallied two saves.
Youngstown State closes out the regular season against Robert Morris, Wednesday, Oct. 25. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
