Youngstown – Sophomore Chloe Weiland scored for the fourth time this season, but the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Robert Morris on Wednesday evening at Farmers National Bank Field.
With the loss, the Penguins finish the season with a 7-7-3 overall record and a 3-5-2 mark in Horizon League play. Robert Morris improve to 11-4-3 overall and 5-4-1 in league play.
The Colonials jumped in front 1-0 on a goal by Kristi Kania in the 29th minute. The Colonials extended their lead to 2-0 after a score by Paloma Swankler in the 77th minute.
Weiland cut the lead in half 2-1 at the 84:40 mark of the game.
Senior Brooklynn Kirkpatrick tallied six saves and faced 15 shots and eight shots on goal.
The Penguins totaled 15 shots and six shots on goal. Regan LaVigna led the Penguins with four shots while Weiland and Abriana Rondin each had three shots.
