Youngstown, Ohio – The Youngstown State men's basketball team returns to action at Beeghly Center Friday night when it hosts Oakland at 9 p.m. in a nationally televised contest on ESPN2 and on 570 WKBN. Friday's game is billed a "Red Out" with students and fans encouraged to wear red YSU gear.
As part of the Red Out promotion, the first 300 Youngstown State students will receive a free t-shirt.

- AAA Card BOGO Ticket Game: Tickets are buy-one-get-one free for fans presenting their AAA card.
The Penguins, who are tied for third place in the Horizon League, enter the game with an overall record of 15-6 and a 7-3 mark in Horizon League play while Oakland is 8-12 overall and 6-3 in league play. The Golden Grizzlies also visit Detroit Mercy, Monday, Jan. 23, at 7 p.m.
In the last meeting, Youngstown State defeated the Golden Grizzlies, 85-69, on Jan. 14 at the O'Rena in Rochester, Mich. Brandon Rush scored a season-high 30 points and the Penguins made 14 3-pointers.
Malek Green poured in 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting with eight rebounds while Bryce McBride scored a season-high 19 points and tied a career high with five 3-pointers. Adrian Nelson recorded his seventh double-double of the season with 11 points and 15 rebounds.
This is the first of four straight home games for the Penguins. Youngstown State also hosts Detroit Mercy on Jan. 29, Wright State on Feb. 2, and Northern Kentucky on Feb. 4.
