Youngstown State continues its three-game homestand when it hosts Mid-American Conference member Ohio, Sunday, Dec. 11. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. at Beeghly Center and the game will be broadcast on 570 WKBN and ESPN+.

Hot Start
The Penguins, who have won three of their last four games, seeks its first 8-3 start after 11 games since the 1997-98 season when the Penguins went 20-9 and reached the Mid-Continent Conference Tournament finals.
The Ohio Series
This is the 19th meeting between Youngstown State and Ohio in a series that dates back to 1940. This is the first time these schools have met since 1993 and the first time meeting at Beeghly Center since 1991. Ohio leads the all-time series, 14-4, and has won the last seven games. The Bobcats won the last meeting, 85-42, on Dec. 20, 1993, in Athens, Ohio. Ohio defeated the Penguins, 72-62, on Nov. 30, 1991, the last time the teams met at Beeghly Center. Youngstown State's last win over Ohio was a 93-82 victory on Dec. 13, 1980, in Beeghly Center.
Last Time Out
The Penguins are coming off a 117-65 win over Westminster on Dec. 8. Bryce McBride became the second player in school history to record a triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 15 assists. His 15 assist also set the YSU Division I single-game record.Â
Going the Distance
The Penguins also made 16 3-pointers, which rank tied for second in school history for most 3s made in a game. YSU has made 26 3-pointers in the last two contests after making 10 against Wright State on Dec. 4.

Ride with McBride
Senior Bryce McBride made history in his last performance against Westminster on Dec. 8. He set the Youngstown State Division I single-game record with 15 assists against the Titans. He also became the second player in school history to record a triple-double with 11 points, 10 rebounds and a career-high 15 assists. His 15 assists are the most at YSU since 1979. He also turned in one of his best offensive performance of the season with a 12-point effort off of the bench against Wright State on Dec. 4. McBride scored 12 points with four steals against the Raiders. He connected on 8-for-8 from the free-throw line and had two field goals. His .967 free-throw percentage is third nationally and second in the Horizon League.
Lovelace Nets Career High
Freshman John Lovelace, Jr., led six Penguins scoring in double figures against Westminster on Dec. 8. He scored a career-high 19 points on 8-of-9 shooting from the floor with a pair of 3-pointers. He also had four rebounds and an assist and steal.
