The Youngstown State volleyball team fell 3-0 to Wright State on Saturday afternoon at Beeghly Center in the regular-season finale for both teams.
The result allowed Wright State to finish the regular season with a 26-3 record and an unblemished 18-0 mark in Horizon League play. Youngstown State is 14-15 overall and finished the conference slate at 8-10 to set a new school record for Horizon League wins.
As the regular-season champion, Wright State will serve as the host and top seed in next week's Horizon League Volleyball Championship. Youngstown State will be the sixth seed, and it will take on third-seeded Green Bay on Friday at 3 p.m. in the first match of the tournament. The contest will be streamed live on ESPN+
Youngstown State celebrated Senior Day on Saturday, and the program's five seniors each played at least two sets. Ellie Cox finished with three kills and two block assists for four points, and Aimee Beaupre matched her with two kills, an ace and two block assists. Amanda Lebioda tied for team-high honors with three kills, Nadia Pace had two kills and a block, and Lauren Lask registered four digs.
Wright State was led by Seiler Hruska's nine kills in 15 attempts, and the Raiders hit .330 as a team in the win.
