The Youngstown State men's golf team will continue its fall slate on Sunday when it begins play in the Bucknell Invitational at Bucknell Golf Club in Lewisburg, Pa.

The Penguins are coming off an eighth-place finish in the Tom Tontimonia Invitational on Tuesday. YSU recorded an impressive team score of 285 (+1) in the final round to move up three spots on the leaderboard. Fifth-year senior Bryan Kordupel finished tied for fifth place individually with a three-round score of 215 (72-75-68). Senior Cade Kreps and freshman Ryan Sam each fired a career-low, even-par 71 in the final session on Tuesday.

The tournament field at the Bucknell Invitational will feature 17 other schools including Bucknell, Canisius, Cornell, Detroit Mercy, Holy Cross, Merrimack, Monmouth, Mount St. Mary's, Niagara, Ottawa, Rider, Robert Morris, Sacred Heart, Saint Francis (Pa.), Saint Joseph's, Saint Peter's and Towson.

The teams will play 18 holes on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday in the three-day, 54-hole event. Tee times for Sunday's first round will begin at 9 a.m. off No. 1 and 9:20 a.m. off No. 10. The course will play approximately 6,224 yards and par is 70. Live scoring will be available at Golfstat.com.

Head Coach Tony Joy has announced that YSU's lineup will feature Kordupel, Kreps, Cole Christman, Sam and Dean Austalosh. In addition, Conner Stevens will be competing as an individual.

Kordupel, Kreps, Christman and Sam have competed in each of YSU's first three events this fall. Austalosh will be participating in this third event of the campaign while Stevens will be making his 2022-23 season debut.
