Women's Soccer Settles For Draw at Wright State

Dayton, Ohio -- Junior Regan LaVigna scored in the 22nd minute of the match, but the Youngstown State women's soccer team was forced to settle for a 1-1 tie at Wright State on Sunday afternoon.
The Penguins are now 0-6-3 overall and 0-0-2 in Horizon League play while the Raiders move to 2-5-2 overall and 0-1-1 in league play.
LaVigna notched her second goal of the year at the 21:47 mark of the match to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead.
The Penguins held the lead for nearly 60 minutes until Wright State's Josie Krupp knotted the match at the 81:15 mark.
Wright State outshot the Penguins, 24-15, overall, but the team's shots in the overtime periods were tied at 4-4.
Sophomore goalkeeper Brooklynn Kirkpatrick was credited with a career-high 10 saves.
Youngstown State returns home to host Detroit Mercy on Thursday, Sept. 23. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field.
