There were seven ties and three lead changes early in the first set, and NKU's lead was just 14-13 following a serving error by Reilly Briggs. The Norse got a kill to go up 15-13 before the media timeout, and NKU went on to score the final 10 points of the set.
NKU kept the momentum and scored 13 of the first 15 points of the third set en route to a 25-14 win. YSU was within three midway through the third set at 16-13, but the Norse widened the gap with an 8-3 run.
