Women's Soccer Falls to Milwaukee, 2-1, In Overtime

Milwaukee, Wis. -- Sophomore Rasheda Abdul-Rahman scored her second goal of the season and sophomore goalkeeper Kylee Moffett posted a career-high 12 saves, but the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a hard-fought decision to Milwaukee, 2-1, in overtime on Saturday afternoon.
The Penguins fall to 4-12-1 overall and 0-8 in Horizon League play while the Panthers improve to 14-0-3 overall and 6-0-2 in the league.
After giving up a goal to Milwaukee's Aubrey Krahn at the 1:41 mark of the match, Abdul-Rahman knotted the game in the 47th minute. Abdul-Rahman volleyed in a shot from a corner kick from freshman Sammy Salatino.
The rest of the second half, Moffett faced 10 shots and corralled four saves to keep the match tied at 1-1 and force overtime.
Just 2:31 into the extra period, Milwaukee's Maddie Tetzke scored the game-winner.
Overall, Milwaukee outshot the Penguins, 26-6, and had 14 shots on goal. The Panthers also had nine corner-kick opportunities compared to four for Youngstown State.
The Penguins host Green Bay on Senior Night, Friday, Oct. 27, at 7 p.m. at Farmers National Bank Field in the Covelli Sports Complex.
