Snow from Winter Storm Remus and an unfavorable forecast has canceled another series for the Youngstown State baseball team.

The Penguins' three-game series at Western Carolina that was scheduled to go from Friday through Sunday has been canceled. The games will not be rescheduled, and YSU will not play another opponent this weekend. YSU's series at Tennessee Tech last weekend was also canceled.

Friday's series opener was postponed on Wednesday with officials at WCU meeting on Thursday morning to discuss the remainder of the series.

Youngstown State will attempt to take the diamond again next weekend in a three-game series at Indiana State. The Penguins and Sycamores are scheduled to play on March 6 at 3 p.m., March 7 at 2 p.m. and March 8 at 1 p.m.
