"When I first arrived on campus we set goals for the program that went beyond the court," YSU head volleyball coach Mark Hardaway said. "The expectations off the court were just as important as those we set for the gym. This team has worked very hard in both areas, producing the first winning season since YSU won a conference title in 1999 and improving their GPA every semester. Last January we set goals of a winning season, making the Horizon League Tournament and having a GPA of 3.3 or higher. I am very proud of the effort that this team put in to accomplish all three goals."
