Soccer Visits Horizon League Leader Milwaukee Saturday Afternoon

The Youngstown State women's soccer team returns to action this Saturday when it visits Horizon League Milwaukee at 2 p.m. at Engelmann Stadium.
The game will be broadcast live on the Horizon League Network.
The Penguins (4-10-1, 2-3 Horizon League) are coming off a tough 2-0 loss to Valparaiso on Oct. 19 at Farmers National Bank Field, while the Panthers extending their league lead to a half game over Wright State with a 2-0 win over Green Bay on Oct. 23.
About Milwaukee
The Panthers (6-8-1, 4-1 Horizon League) have won five of their last seven matches, including four of five in league play during that span. Krissy Dorre leads the team with eight goals and 18 total points while Kelly Lewers is second on the team with seven goals and 17 points. Goalkeeper Paige Lincicum owns a 6-8-1 record with 60 saves and two shutouts. Lincicum has register her two shutouts in the last three contests.
The Milwaukee Series
This is 13th meeting between Youngstown State and Milwaukee in a series that dates back to 2001. The Panthers own an 11-1 advantage in the all-time series, but the Penguins defeated the Panthers for the first time in 2012 with a 2-1 victory at Stambaugh Stadium. The Panthers had won 11 straight over the Penguins. The Penguins had also just scored three goals in the first 11 contests agaiinst the Panthers.
Podolsky Now Second in Victories
With the win over Cleveland State on Oct. 16, junior goalkeeper goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky moved into second place on the all-time wins list with nine. She is three wins shy of tying and four win short of breaking the record of 12 set by Christine Handte from 1998-01. Podolsky also owns the career goals-against average record at 1.23.
Hohmann is Charitable
In less than two full seasons, sophomore midfielder Katie Hohmann has moved into the top six all-time for most assists. Hohmann, who has a team-best three assists this year, ranks tied for sixth with sven career assists.
Ludwig Among Career Leaders
Senior Allison Ludwig has been on the the top offensive players in school history. Ludwig ranks tied for sixth with 26 points, 11 goals, and 96 shots attempted.
Armstrong Proving Tough
After not scoring a goal as a freshman in 2011, junior midfielder Cara Armstrong has become one of the Penguins top offensive threats over the last two seasons. Armstrong leads the Penguins with three goals and six points this season. In 2012, Armstrong also totaled three goals.
Haney The Shot Caller
Junior Chelsey Haney is quickly moving up the YSU all-time shot chart. Haney leads team with 47 shots this season. For her career, she has 98 and ranks fifth all-time. With two more, Haney will become just the fifth player in school history to record at least 100 shots in a career.
