Indianapolis, Ind. -- Sophomore Jade Flory scored her first goal of the season, but the Youngstown State women's soccer team dropped a 2-1 decision to Butler on Saturday evening.
With the loss, the Guins fall to 4-4 overall while the Bulldogs improve to 6-3-1.
The Guins behind 1-0 just 3:17 into the match when Sophia Maccagnone scored from 25-yards out.
Maccagnone added a second goal just nine minutes later to put the Bulldogs up 2-0.
Flory posted her first goal of the year at the 58 minute mark but the Guins could not complete the comeback.
The Guins host Cedarville, Tuesday, Sept. 25, at 7 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium.
