The Youngstown State softball team improved to 5-2 after defeating Western Carolina, 5-2, to close out the North Carolina A&T Invitational with a 3-1 record.
Senior Jordan Ingalls and junior Caroline Krombach each tallied two hits and drove in two runs to lead the Guins.
Freshman Kayla Haslett picked up her first career victory scattering six hits in a complete-game effort.
Along with Ingalls and Krombach, senior Haley Thomas was named to the all-tournament team.
The Guins open the Rebel Games against Manhattan, March 11 at 1 p.m.
