Soccer Falls to Green Bay in Overtime, 2-1

Green Bay, Wis. -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team was able to force an extra period, but dropped a 2-1 overtime decision to Horizon League foe Green Bay on Saturday afternoon.
The Guins fall to 6-5 overall and 1-1 in the Horizon League while the Phoenix improve to 4-8-1 overall and 1-1-1 in league play.
After Green Bay's Hannah Kernen scored in the eighth minute of the game, sophomore Jade Flory notched her third goal of the season to tie the match, 1-1, with five minutes left before halftime.
The Guins and Phoenix were both held scoreless in the second half to force overtime.
In the 97th minute, Green Bay's Jenna Harrington's header off a corner kick got past Guins' goalkeeper Jackie Podolsky for the the game-winning goal.
Podolsky posted three saves for the Guins, who outshot Green Bay, 14-8.
The Guins host Cleveland State, Wednesday, Oct. 10, at 7 p.m. at Stambaugh Stambaugh.
