Philadelphia, Pa. -- The Youngstown State women's soccer team fell to 3-5-2 on the 2011 season after dropping a 3-0 decision to Penn on Sunday afternoon.
The Quakers improved to 6-2 overall after shutting out the Guins.
The Guins mustered just five shots and just two shots on goal compared to 25 shots and 13 shots on goal by the Quakers.
Penn scored all three goals before halftime - one each by Brianna Rano, Callan Parra and Megan York. Rano's goal came at the 11:02 mark while Parra's and York's goals came at 30:52 and 34:20.
Sophomore goalkeeper Ali Viola had eight saves while senior goalkeeper Nicole Kline added two.
The Guins return to action against Horizon League foe Butler, Saturday, Oct. 1, at 3 p.m. at Stambaugh Stadium.
