CSU's Macenko Fires One-Hitter at Softball

Canfield, Ohio -- Cleveland State's Amanda Macenko fired a one-hitter with six strikeouts to defeat the Youngstown State softball team, 9-0, in six innings at McCune Park on Wednesday evening.
The Penguins fall to 13-27 overall and 6-9 in the Horizon League while the Vikings improve to 33-11 overall and 13-2 in the league.
Macenko, who pitched 3.2 perfect innings in yesterday's second game, gave up a single to Autumn Grove in the bottom of the third inning and did not allow another Penguin to reach base.
Cleveland State's Tess Sito went 3-for-4 with home run and drove in six of the Vikings' nine runs.
The Penguins host UIC, Saturday, April 24, in a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m.
