Kempton's Second Goal Salvages 1-1 Tie Against Valparaiso

Valparaiso, Ind. -- Junior Kelsey Kempton scored her second goal in as many matches and salvaged a 1-1 double overtime tie against Valparaiso on Sunday afternoon.
The Penguins conclude the regular season with a 3-13-1 overall mark and 1-6-1 in the Horizon League while Valparaiso ends the regular season 5-8-5 overall and 1-5-2 in the league.
Valparaiso took a 1-0 lead 16 minutes into the match on Casey Petersen's fourth goal of the season.
Kempton knotted the game at the 68th minute off a free kick from just past midfield that bounced over the goalkeeper's head.
Junior goalkeeper Nicole Kline posted eight saves against the Crusaders, including seven in the first half.
