"We are thrilled that Madyson will be staying on board as an assistant coach," Kuberski said. "She has played a big role in building our culture over the last five seasons and has emerged as a great leader on and off the lanes."

Marx begins her coaching career after a prolific five years as a student-athlete at YSU. She earned All-America honors from the National Tenpin Coaches Association in each of her final three seasons, including first-team recognition in 2024-25. Marx was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Final Four as she averaged an impressive 22.54 pins per frame at the event, and she averaged a team-best 22.06 overall average in the NCAA Tournament. She finished her career as YSU's all-time leader in traditional game average at 205.33.

In her final year, Marx was named Conference USA's Bowling Scholar-Athlete of the Year and a Second-Team Academic All-American by College Sports Communicators to cap an impressive list of academic accomplishments. She was also a three-time Academic All-District selection by CSC, and she was a two-time recipient of the Conference USA Commissioner's Academic Medal. Additionally, Marx was named to the Conference USA All-Academic Team in 2024, and she was a three-time All-Academic Team selection in the Southland Bowling League.

Marx graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice in May 2024.
