HIGH SCHOOL: As a senior was a first-team all-conference selection...had 72 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for losses, three fumble recoveries and one interception...Cardinals lost 28-27 to Coldwater in the Division IV State Championship Game in 2007...had a team-high nine total tackles, including five solos in title game...also forced a fumble and had a pass breakup...Mooney won the state championship in 2006 beating Plain City Jon Elder 26-12...Mooney lost in the state championship to Coldwater 33-9 in 2005...in final three years Mooney was 36-4 (14-1 in 2007, 14-0 in 2006 and 12-3 in 2005)...coach was P.J.
