Appeared in two games as a reserve quarterback...saw action in the second half in wins over Valparaiso and Western Illinois...dressed for all 11 games...earned his letter.

2010 (Freshman): Redshirted...was scout team Offensive Player of the Week against Central Connecticut State.

High School: Ohio Division II Offensive Player of the Year, Southeastern Ohio Athletic League North Division Player of the Year, Southeast District D-II Offensive Player of the Year as a senior...first-team all-state and all-district selection...also first-team all-state, district player of the year and league player of the year as a junior...only second player in school history to be SEOAL Player of the Year in consecutive seasons (Scott Gasser in 1976-77)...holder of 15 different LHS single-game, season and career passing records...selected to play in Ohio North-South Classic in April...as a senior, completed 193-of-302 attempts for 2,546 yards and 26 touchdowns...threw only five interceptions...rushed for 418 yards on 117 carries and had eight touchdowns...Chieftains won first 11 games of season before losing to Brookhaven in second round of playoffs...had eight 200-yard passing games with a high of 283 vs. Gallia Academy...was a perfect 15-of-15 against Hamilton...had four touchdown pass games against Hamilton, Marietta and Jackson...played in the secondary and was the team's punter...played in the North-South All-Star Classic in summer of 2010...as a junior, completed 177-of-286 passes for 2,496 yards and 25 TDs...rushed for 557 yards on 149 carries and seven touchdowns...had two 300-yard passing games with high of 325 vs. Pickerington North...threw four touchdown passes against Ironton...Chieftains were 11-1 losing to Louisville in second round of playoffs...coach was Dale Amyx...led team to a league record-tying 34 straight SEOAL victories, and a school record-tying 29-straight regular-season wins...also played basketball and baseball...scored more than 1,000 points in basketball career...was the 2008-09 SEOAL Most Valuable Player as a junior...academic all-league selection all four years in high school.
