High School: Helped high school team make four consecutive visits to the TSSAA Division II state championship game...a two-star recruit, played a key role in the Tigers winning three championships in 2011, 2012 and 2013...was a finalist for Division II Mr. Football Lineman...was named All-Midstate, all-state and all-region as a senior...coach Ricky Bowers...was also a successful wrestler, placing third in the state in the 285-pound weight class in 2013.
