2017 (Redshirt Freshman): Saw action in two games...played against Central Connecticut and Missouri State...had an assisted tackle against the Blue Devils.

2016 (Freshman): Did not see action.

HIGH SCHOOL: Played just one year football...was a two-way player seeing time at defensive end, offensive tackle and tight end for the Spartans...invited to play in the NFBD All-Star Game and the Mahoning Valley All-Star Game...coach was Joe Ignazio...member of National Honor Society...also played basketball.

PERSONAL: Parents are Cheryl and Ed Metzel...has a sister...major is business administration...as a high school senior, attended Youngstown State as a senior as part of their College Credit Plus Program.
