Youngstown State University

Vincent Funari is in his third season as a quality control assistant for the Youngstown State football team. Funari spent his first two years with the program assisting the defense. He moves to the offensive side in 2022.

Funari brings a unique background to the position previously working as a staff engineer for the Taylor Made Golf Company and Associate Engineer for SpaceX. 

He earned his Masters Degree from Purdue in 2019 in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from The Ohio State University also in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering.

At Purdue, he was part of the research group that studied advanced propulsion and combustion technologies with a specific focus on rocket engine combustion dynamics. Funari had internships with Masten Space Systems and Blue Origin.
