2010 (Sophomore): Was a member of the squad, but did not see action.

2009 (R-Freshman): Played in the first six games before suffering a broken foot...missed the remainder of the season...snapper on punts at Pitt...handled duties as long snapper on placement kicks prior to injury...credited with 27 snaps played on placement kicks and seven on punt team...earned his first letter.

2008 (Freshman): Redshirted...was part of the travel squad to Illinois State and Western Illinois as a backup long snapper...named scout team defensive player of the week versus WIU...named scout team special teams player of the week against UNI.

High School: Played linebacker for three seasons...set school records for most tackles in a season and most in a game...Spartans were 8-4 senior season reaching the Division I regional semifinals...coach was D.J. Ogilvie...was also a four-year letterwinner as a wrestler...first-team All-Eastern League selection at 189 pounds as a senior...member of the Honor Roll.

Personal: Parents are Patti and Pat Whitaker...both his parents attended YSU...has a brother (Devin)...father runs scoreboard graphics for YSU at basketball games...born March 6, 1990...major is general studies.
