L.A. Harbor College: Posted a 3.34 ERA in 13 starts as freshman for the Seahawks in 2013… Struck out 54 batters in 62 innings, and his 7.84 strikeouts per nine innings led all starters… Finished the season with a 5-5 record and allowing just 40 hits in 62 innings... Upped his strikeout rate to 8.77 per nine innings as a sophomore when he had a 4.85 ERA in 11 starts... Finished with a 2-3 record with 38 strikeouts in 39 innings… Played in the Southern California JUCO All-Star Game.

High School: Posted a 1.89 ERA as a junior at Long Beach Woodrow Wilson High… Named Pitcher of the Year, Offensive Player of the Year and MVP… Was a Moore-League All-Star and earned second-team all-conference honors.
