2013 (Junior) | Game-By-Game Stats: Played in 55 games, 52 of which he started… Only Phil Lipari played in more games for YSU… Started 47 games at first base and five at designated hitter… Was YSU’s cleanup batter in a team-high 26 games… Batted .254 with a team highs of 32 RBIs and four home runs… Also scored 22 runs and registered 13 doubles, a triple and a .400 slugging percentage… Hit .257 with a .457 slugging percentage in Horizon League games… Led the team with eight multi-RBI games, and had multiple hits 12 times… Also scored multiple runs five times… Named the Horizon League Batter of the Week on April 1... Had a six-game hitting streak from March 3-10, which raised his season average to .310… Had three multi-hit games during that stretch, including a 3-for-5 effort against Manhattan at the end… Homered and drove in three runs against Morehead State (3/5)… Homered, stole a base and drove in four runs at Ohio (3/19)… Went deep twice, scored three times and drove in four runs at Wright State (3/30)… Was 3-for-5 with two doubles in the regular-season finale at Valparaiso (5/18).
2012 (Sophomore) | Game-By-Game Stats: Played in and started 52 games, with 43 coming in right field and nine coming as the designated hitter... Hit fourth or fifth in the line-up 46 times... Batted .244 with 15 runs, eight doubles, a team-high two triples, three homers and 27 RBIs... Posted a .352 slugging percentage, which ranked third on the team, and a .308 on-base percentage... Was 3-for-3 on stolen base attempts... Batted .250 and hit all three of his round-trippers in conference play... Posted 13 multi-hit games and recorded at least two RBIs on five occasions... His two three-hit games came in back-to-back games against UIC on April 27 and April 29... On April 29, was 3-for-4 with a home run and a career-best five RBIs... Was 2-for-5 and scored career-best two runs against Akron (3/28)... Doubled twice and drove in four runs at VMI (3/11).
Sinclair CC: Was named the Ohio Community College Athletic Conference Player of the Year... Hit .430 with nine home runs, 58 RBIs, 49 runs scored, 20 doubles and nine steals... The 20 doubles were a school record... Was also a NJCAA Second-Team All-America selection... Led the Pride to the OCCAC title.
Cincinnati: Redshirted as a member of the squad for the 2010 season.
High School: Finished his career with a .550 batting average and 25 home runs... Hit .685 as a sophomore... Was a four-time first-team all-conference selection for Badger... Helped lead the Braves to two conference titles and one district championship... Ranked 14th on The Buckeye Scout's Top 100 Seniors list in 2009... Earned a total of 13 varsity letters - four in baseball, four in golf, three in basketball and two in soccer... Was a second-team all-state pick in soccer his senior year.
Personal: Parents are Derek and Janelle Fumerola... Has two brothers (Jeremy and Daniel) and a sister (Emily)... His mother is currently in YSU's MBA program, and his grandmother attended YSU... Major is criminal justice.
