2013 (Freshman) | Game-By-Game Stats: Voted to the Horizon League All-Newcomer Team... Made 11 appearances, four of which were starts... Had an 0-2 record with a 4.00 ERA in 36 innings... Allowed 18 runs, 16 of which were earned, on 34 hits and 18 walks... Struck out 20 batters, and opponents batted .274 against him... Only closer Nic Manuppelli had a lower batting average against on the team... Had a 3.66 ERA in Horizon League outings... Made his first start against Milwaukee on April 7, allowing two runs in 4.2 innings in a no decision... Pitched a season-high 7.2 innings in his next start against Valparaiso, allowing three runs on five hits (4/14)... Also started against UIC and Alderson-Broaddus... His losses came in relief at Ohio State and in his start against UIC... Allowed three earned runs over his first 10.2 innings, all of which came in relief... High School: Named Honorable Mention All-Ohio at Division IV as both a junior and a senior... Struck out 14 batters in the district semi-final game against Windham... Was 7-0 with a 1.35 ERA as a junior... Struck out 100 batters and walked 28 while allowing 38 hits in 57 innings... Also beat Windham in the district semi-final as a junior, fanning 15 in a one-hitter... Led Rittman to its first Wayne County Athletic League title in 20 years and its first regional trip in 22 seasons... Became the first Rittman High student-athlete in 21 years to sign with Division I program.
